About the Artist
Carol has a B.A. in art history from UCLA, where she specialized in art theory and criticism.
Beginning as an editorial assistant for African Arts magazine at UCLA, she learned the fundamentals of magazine work: layout and design and the editorial process. From there she went on to a career in publishing and print production. Since 1999 she has been a freelance desktop publisher, designing and editing books for a variety of publishers.
In 2000 she took up digital camera, Wacom tablet, and "pen" to create digital photomontages. To do this, she pulled from many years of experience in the Los Angeles art scene, where she painted in acrylics and inks and carved small pieces in soapstone.
Presently she lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
